Todd Knaus Constructions
Todd Knaus grew up in Byron Bay and after graduating from the local high school, completed his carpentry apprenticeship in 2002 where he received three awards. The “Construction and Transport Faculty Award”, the “Awards for Excellence in Training”, and the prestigious “Apprentice of The Year Award”.
Todd immediately attained a contractor’s licence and began working for local builders where within five years he had taken the role of leading hand/foreman on site.
In 2009 he completed Certificate IV in Building. Again graduating with distinct honours, and was awarded the “Construction and Transport Award for Excellence”.
In 2009, Todd started Todd Knaus Constructions. Immediately working on homes all around Byron and has a well established relationship with core and specialist sub-contractors enabling each trade to work hand in hand to allow the jobs to run efficiently and effectively.
In 2014, Todd Knaus completed his Diploma of Building.
Focusing on quality rather than quantity Todd Knaus Constructions continues to impress both our clients and the building industry. The company has evolved over the years with the continual demand from the building industry, architects and clients to push the limits and boundaries to create masterpieces for families to enjoy forever.
All of the homes are personally managed by Todd Knaus himself ensuring the delivery of a quality home that is beyond expectations, whilst delivered on time and within budget.
Todd Knaus Constructions, after 10 year’s operating has already been recognised for building excellence by the MBA, having received multiple awards in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019 including the prestigious Regional Builder of The Year Award.
Todd Knaus and the homes he has created have also been in many publications over the past years including: Abode Magazine in 2012 and 2013; BWA; the local papers in Byron Bay and surrounding areas over the years; Domain in 2014; Green Magazine in 2016; Belle Magazine in 2017; House and Garden in 2017, Inside Out in 2018, Dwell magazine in 2019, Real Living in 2019 and Habitus in 2019.
